Blog: Ryan Stuart, explore's gear editor
Gender: Male
About: “I have a gear obsession. There's nothing I am more comfortable talking about than the pros and cons of different outdoor technology. Luckily explore magazine has given me an outlet for my obsession. As explore's gear editor I'm the man behind all the gear reviews you read in the magazine and online. When I'm not writing reviews I can be found working on contributions to other parts of the magazine or testing gear in my bumpy backyard - the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. If you ever have any questions about gear please drop me an email. And if you're ever on my Island, let's hook up for some gear testing.”
Interests: Mountain biking, hiking, climbing, paddling, skiing, trail running and anything else that involves sweat and adrenaline.
Certifications: Canadian Avalanche Association Active Member CANSI telemark instructor assistant sea kayak guide white water kayak instructor flat water canoe instructor COLT graduate
