03_02_14 Stanley Mitchell Hut, Yoho National Park

disaster struck here !!!!! - I broke a ski 25 km into the mountains, it was impossible to walk since snow was up to my waist and I didn't take my snowshoes - so what do you do in this predicament? I cut small tree, cut a piece out of it, lashed it underneath broken ski and although I could not ski on it anymore I was able to use it like a snowshoe.
