Captain's Log

With two small kids my time for outdoor adventure has diminished. However I'm now trying to find activities that will suit my new lifestyle. This blog will follow my outdoor pursuits in general and this year will focus a lot on my experimentation with sailing.

Whistler trip Day 1

Sitting in the hot tub apres ski looking over the lifts

We had a good first day on the slopes. We had about 10 cm of new powder and some small glimpses of the sun. We couldn't have asked for more.

Glen and I skied the top of Seventh Heaven and the Glaciar Express while Phil, Anke and Teresa had a private lesson. All three of them were really thrilled with the information they picked up from their instructor. Meanwhile Glen and I were skiing and snowboarding through virgin powder throughout the morning.

We hit the hot tub early!

I didn't even know you were going away! Hope you and the fam have a great time.

My family left on your first day here!, I remember waking up to driving out of there bulding at creekside at 5 in the morning to drop me off to work, with just a dumping of snow. Must of been a great trip as the 2 days b4 that were the first we had snow (at least a half decent amount) in probably over 2 weeks, not including the snow, althought it was not a massive dump but a decent amound on the monday morning.
