Paddler's Guide to Happy Camping

This is Kevin Callan's blog about his trips, his (mis-)adventures, and his favourite gear.

Speaking at the Port Credit Legion Wednesday night.

Canadian Outdoor Equipment in Mississauga is one really cool store. It has all those neat outdoor items that you usually don't see at the regular outfitters, from moccassins to various fire starters to high quality axes and wool clothing. I met the owners at the Toronto Outdoor Show and when they asked if I could add them onto my speaking tour I jumped at the chance (secretly because it ment I could spend some time shopping for some unique camp gadgets before my talk).

Anyway, the show is being held at the Port Credit Legion (larger hall for speaking at then the store) and starts at 7:00 pm. Admission is free but donations and all profits from book sales will benefit the Credit Valley Conservation Foundation.

It should be a fun night had by all. See you there,
