Skiing Aspen Snowmass

Had a great trip with Angel and some new friends. I rented a helmet cam for the first time and got some great footage.

Made it back safely and was able to put together a quick vid

It was my first trip to Aspen and we did it in style. We stayed at Kate Hazelbaker's family place with a bunch of people I hadn't met before. Everyone got along extremely well and we basically skied and snowboarded our asses of for six days and made big dinners in the evening and passed out early.

We did manage to go out for dinner twice but still had no choice but to cut the evenings short and hit the sheets in order to be up and ready to rock the slopes.

We stayed in Snowmass, one of the four main ski mountains in the area that our ski pass is good for. Buttermilk, Aspen Mountain, and Aspen Highlands make up the other three. Spending four of the six days at Snowmass was not a problem because of the amount of snow we had and the village's easy access by shuttle bus from Kate's.

I have to admit that I have never riding on such good snow for that many days in a row. But the best part of the trip was truly the group that I enjoyed it with. The plan is to make this an annual event and I can't thank Kate enough for her hospitality.

I'm going to cut a second video using the footage shot on the second day of the cam rental. We climbed to the summit of Aspen Highlands (approx. 4000m) and skied the bowl. You'll see how cool that was in the next vid!

Dude! Love it! Can't tell you how jealous I am. I gotta get somewhere better than Blue Mountain next season. Aspen looks freakin' awesome. Love the helmet cam.

Thanks dude... I'm just wrapping up a second vid that documents our climb to the summit and descent in the bowls. The helmet cam is the way to go!
