Tragedy on Big Baby

Big Baby, noun:
1. The easiest run at Blue Mountain. Currently the southernmost run at the resort, it's approximately 250 yards long, with a really easy gradient and a smooth surface. This is where ski school classes take place.
2. Where Heather, hot-dogging for the kids perhaps, went off a jump (there are jumps at Big Baby? where?), caught an edge, wiped out, tore a ligament and was removed from the hill on a meat wagon. (Although the hill is so small, I'm surprised the ambulance didn't just back up and load her right in.)

Surgery to follow. 2008 ski season over. Sorry Heather! At least she'll be able to enjoy her kick-ass chalet (see Best of Blue Mountain), . And improve her already magnificent drinking (and cooking) skills.

What's hurting more for Heather...the knee or the ego?

Right now I think she's just pissed at all the teasing.
Latest update on the injury: it's a hairline racture of the kneecap. Three weeks on crutches, no cast, no surgery.
