Day out in Bragg Creek
Finally we decided to go for a long walk. Well, it does not sound like much but bear in mind following facts. On the most unfortunate February 18th, 2006 I suffered from trochanteric fracture (fancy name for leg broken right at the hip) while back country skiing. After 6 months of re-learning how to walk and another many months of limping finally I had all that titanium hardware removed from my leg on Octobr 28, 2007. Well, this long walk was to be the first one after all that time so even if it sounds like just a walk it was not just a walk to me.
It was beautiful winter day in Bragg Creek when we arrived - we constitutes of Limin, Matt (my son) and I. At that time of the year the road deep into Kananaskis Country is closed so nobody would disturb animals (only in Canada ehhh ;-) ). Anyhow we set out on that closed road without any plan or goal in mind. After good 6 km we finally found the place , place where we made nice fire, had some sausages and hot real Chinese tea. It was nice to just sit around and marvel the moment, marvel the view, marvel the life itself. Moments like that one wishes would last forever. After about one hour we had to "slog" back to our vehicle. Bragg is beautiful anytime and it is like a nice big playground for Calgarians, it is just a part of Kananaskis Country which is a serious palyground for Calgarinas. We are very lucky to have such a "playground" right next to our back door. If you see more pictures from this trip follow this link
