Highway 7 Runs, Ontario

Edit Icon Edit text   |   Edit all fields

The Highway #7 runs are a series of creeks and small rivers that are enjoyed by spring whitewater kayakers and canoers. They cluster along Highway 7 near Marmora or Peterborough, Ontario. The runs tend to only have adequate water flow in the spring run-off.

They include:
* Beaver Creek
* Black River
* Crowe River
* Skootamatta River
* Salmon River

If you're feeling generous, you might also include the Moira River, which isn't off Highway 7, but isn't all that far either.

The Marmora Area Canoe & Kayak Festival (M.A.C.K.Fest) takes place in the area in the spring. The inaugural MACKFest takes place April 12th and 13th, 2008.
