M.A.C.K.Fest -- Marmora Area Canoe & Kayak Festival

The inaugural Marmora Area Canoe & Kayak Festival takes place April 12th and 13th, 2008.


Festival

The festival features paddling at Beaver Creek , the Black River, the Crowe River, the Salmon River, the Skootamatta River and the Moira. These are all classic Ontario spring paddling destinations, located a reasonable drive from Toronto or Ottawa, on or near Highway 7.

The event will also include beer gardens, live music, and an auction.

Festival headquarters are at Marmora Park (South of Hwy 7 on the Crowe River), and are open from 10:00 a.m to 1:00am (ish).


Location and directions

The festival is based in downtown Marmora (north of Belleville, two hours from Toronto, 2.5 hours from Ottawa and 1.5 hours from Kingston).

Who benefits

Proceeds go to Easter Seals and Whitewater Ontario.
