Edit textThe Big Wild was founded by the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) and Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) in March 2007. The Big Wild’s mission is to engage people who share the vision that Canada should protect at least half of its land and water Currently, less than 10% of Canada’s wilderness is protected, although 90% is in public hands.

Sign up for the CPAWS newsletter and always forward it to as many of your
friends as you can.
Some of them will take an interest and that's how we get people to take action
one person at a time, it DOES make a difference.
